Broadcast of Imran Khan speeches and TV channel suspended by Pakistan government

Pakistan’s Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Sunday banned television stations from broadcasting Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speeches and press conferences, accusing him of attacking businesses and the government and spreading hatred. The ban was imposed after Khan’s speech in Lahore, where he said former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was responsible for his resignation from office in April 2021.
